Have patience – especially at first.

Breastfeeding requires a lot of patience in several areas.

You may have to wait a few days before you start producing milk, and that is okay.  Some mothers’ milk comes in after two or three days.  Others have to wait four or five days.  This is normal, but if you become concerned, a lactation consultant will be able to help you with any questions you may have.
